CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (C.E.O)

Position Summary
As we continue building our team, we are seeking a mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, and process-minded leader with experience scaling an organization, leading a management team, and developing a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO must be a hands-on, results- and data-driven leader who will help others at Z.A.C deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make the vision a reality.
Importantly, the successful CEO will have the skills, sensitivity, and personal confidence to tap into the power that each member of the team brings to the mission. While it is essential that the CEO bring efficient and effective systems to increase the productivity of the organization, it is also critical that the CEO is able to contribute to the hands-on shaping of Zortrax Agriculture Corporation as they seek to accelerate scientific partnerships and advancements in the space.

Mission Impact
The CEO is responsible for the overall impact of ZAC regarding smooth running of all the companies, with particular emphasis on increasing its corporate and enhancement of ZAC positive image globally . The CEO works closely with the Board, and the Senior Vice President, Research to craft and adapt the strategy to achieve this increased impact, including raising the funds to support some companies under ZAC. With the support of his/her team, he/she will establish and build relationships with top leaders in the business, world governments, scientific and philanthropic communities.
Resource Development
The CEO is charged with driving results in accelerating the growth of the companies under ZAC globally. Liaising with the world governments and other multinationals, providing oversight in the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospective business and corporate partners; leveraging personal and professional contacts and relationships into growth opportunities; and promoting a culture of companies growth in the corporation, both at the staff and board level.
Strategic Management
The CEO serves as the principal resource to the Board of Directors and its key committees and gives strong direction in policy formulation and interpretation. He/she will partner with the Board of Directors and the staff leadership team to craft corporation goals and develop strategies to ensure that they are achieved. He/she will ensure coordination and alignment of all ZAC activities to strategic direction in the areas of mission focus and growth strategy, brand awareness and management, resource development, and staff alignment.
Organization Management
The CEO is accountable for building and leading high-performing teams, ensuring all teams are aligned and collaborating to achieve organizational results. He/she maintains accountability for the operational and fiscal integrity of the organization within policies set by the Board of Directors. The CEO assesses organizational capacity to implement strategies and identify gaps in systems and staffing; directly supervises Leadership positions and establishes individual goals; manages organizational spending, monitor budget compliance, and mitigate financial risks and ensures that goals of inclusiveness and diversity among staff and our stakeholders are met.

- Relevant experience working in agricultural companies, financial sectors and interacting with diverse government's and boards.
- Substantial expertise on issues relevant to the corporation, including agriculture, research, finance, and investment management.
- Extensive senior strategic leadership experience in the management of organizations of comparable size and mission.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and public speaking skills; a high energy level and sense of humor.
- Ability to command the confidence and respect of stakeholders.
- A demonstrated track record of ability to build collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in or across multiple sectors, including research, science, agriculture, public and corporate environments.

- Significant board development, fundraising, marketing/branding and fiscal management experience working in a research/science agriculture centric organization.
- Strong commitment to the professional development of staff.
- Prior relevant agriculture and value addition of food crops experience ideal; management of a scientific, agriculture, food manufacturing or research related organization preferred.
- At least 12 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum of a BA, ideally with an MBA, MPA, Ph.D., MD, or related advanced degree.
