Zortrax Agriculture Corporation Commits MKW 15 Billion to Agribusiness Development in Malawi

Zortrax Agriculture Corporation, in collaboration with Zortrax Agriculture Corporation Malawi successfully hosted the Zortrax Agribusiness Investment Summit at our offices in Zortrax Plaza, Lilongwe. This pivotal event saw the announcement of a substantial pledge of MKW 15 Billion dedicated to agribusiness in Malawi, spanning a period of 20 years.
The investment will primarily be channeled into various agribusiness activities through the Zortrax Agribusiness Fund and the Zortrax Global Agribusiness Investment Group. The funding aims to significantly enhance the agricultural landscape in Malawi, supporting sustainable development and improving productivity across the sector.
The summit was attended by distinguished guests, including government officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, CEOs and Directors from SACCOs (Savings and Credit Cooperatives), and Zortrax Agriculture Corporation's Southern Africa Expansion and Investment Director, Miss Zahra Zainab Ibrahim. The presence of these key stakeholders underscores the collaborative efforts required to advance the agribusiness sector in Malawi.
"We believe that this investment will play a crucial role in stimulating agricultural activities in Malawi, ensuring prosperity and sustainability for local farmers and businesses," stated Miss Ibrahim during the summit.
